PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
OBS Interiors is proud to offer our iPad Mini dash kit using our classic patented Double DIN radio bezel that we have custom fabricated Soundman's patented iPad kit into! This conversion kit fits 1992–1997 OBS Ford F-Series & Bronco trucks. This kit is designed to retain as much of an OEM-style appearance as possible considering it's a custom product. Please note, this is a very skilled precise tedious installation. Highly recommend installation by a trusted reputable professional.
 
If you want a different size iPad, contact us for custom work to send your whole dashboard to us to have the custom work done.
 
HOW ORDERING WORKS
- These kits are NOT stocked.
- All dash kits are built to order and are never kept on the shelf.
- Lead times are clearly advertised throughout the website and are estimates, not promises.
Production time is required due to:
- Manufacturing new dash pads (if selected)
- Modifying customer-supplied cores
- Dash kits being only a portion of our overall shop workload
- Every order is different than the next
 
 
COLOR SELECTION
If you want an OEM interior color, please reference the provided color chart (second photo on this page). Our colors are based on custom color formulas replicating what the color should have been when brand new.
If you want a custom color, select the custom option and send us a physical color sample for matching.
 
⚠️ Custom upholstery materials not listed on the product page
If you want materials outside our normal options, we strongly recommend submitting an estimate request first to confirm availability and pricing.
 
Silver trim with black pinstripes:
The silver color can be closely matched, but the thin black pinstripes cannot be duplicated.
 
 
PAD & TRIM CORE REQUIREMENTS
 
IMPORTANT PRODUCTION NOTICE
- If your order includes modification of your original dash pad and/or original dash trim, those parts must be sent to us in advance so they can be used for production.
 
- Your order cannot ship until required cores are received.
 
- If cores are not received within approximately 3–4 weeks of the estimated completion window, we will reach out. Failure to supply cores may affect the advertised lead time.
 
 
If you selected a NEW dash pad, disregard pad core requirements.
If you selected no trim or billet trim, disregard trim core requirements.
 
 
CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED DASH PAD OPTION
A dash pad core is required if you selected
“I will send my dash pad to be used for my order.”
Your original pad will be:
- Cut to length
- Fully stripped
- Repaired as needed
- Professionally reupholstered
 
Only one pad per kit order is accepted.
If you decline to send your pad after ordering but wish to continue the order, an additional $180 charge will be applied so a new pad can be produced.
 
If you selected a new dash pad and still send an original pad:
You may request:
- An estimate to have it reupholstered separately
- Or pay return shipping (Dash pads are too long to ship back in dash kit boxes.)
- Or request disposal
 
DASH TRIM OPTIONS
A trim core is required if you selected
“I will send my long trim under the dash pad.”
Your original trim will be:
- Shortened using a template
- Plastic welded
- Reinforced
- Repaired as needed
- Refinished
⚠️ Thin black pinstripes on silver trim cannot be duplicated.
 
If you selected no trim or billet trim, and send a core anyway
You may request:
- Request an estimate for additional work
- Pay return shipping (Dash trim is too long to ship back in dash kit boxes.)
- Or request disposal
 
Eddie Bauer Wood Grain Trim
If you send Eddie Bauer wood-grain trim and wish to retain the wood grain appearance:
- A new hydrographic wood grain will be applied
- Additional charges will be invoiced via QuickBooks
- Pricing is based on actual labor time + materials at current shop rate
Sending Eddie Bauer wood trim constitutes acceptance of these terms.
 
OTHER HYDROGRAPHIC OPTIONS
Wood grains, carbon fiber, brushed metals, and other patterns are available for dash trims that are OEM or billet, as well as other interior parts.
Please contact us to build a custom estimate. This is a custom service, and there is no "list of options" Sky is almost the limit with custom work. Just reach out to us so we can work together to build an estimate.
 
 
3-PIECE BILLET TRIM KIT
Billet aluminum trim is produced by JC Customs CNC and includes:
- Shortened under-pad trim (exclusive to our kit)
- Two matching side trims on the instrument bezel
 
Available finishes:
- Brushed aluminum
- Anodized black
- OEM-style pebble textured black
Custom finishes available upon request and requires an estimate to be built, just contact us.
 
Optional engraving up to 12 characters.

SENDING ADDITIONAL PARTS
Pricing does NOT cover if additional parts are sent in for work. Any additional parts sent for work will be billed separately.
 
HOW DOES THE AUDIO GET TO THE SPEAKERS?
The iPad plays through the speakers using Bluetooth IN THE SAME EXACT WAY YOUR CELL PHONE WOULD WITH ANY AFTERMARKET RADIO, OR IN A NEWER MORE MODERN VEHICLE. In order to retain as much of an OEM as possible appearance with our kit, the radio will NOT fit behind the bezel once installed. Simply either relocate the radio elsewhere (place of choice), or delete it and wire a Bluetooth receiver to an amp and the truck.

BILLING TERMS
Orders may be canceled within 30 days of purchase
After 30 days, dash kits are non-refundable
Billet trim with engraving is non-refundable once produced, as it is custom to your order
